School internship 4 th week

As the examinations approaching very near the routine activities like assembly,various club activities and normal classroom processes were not functioned properly.Teachers were busy with finishing the portions for the examinations.Extra classes for SSLC and Plus two students were handled by the experienced teachers regularly.                
      Curricular Activities                 
   For the UP students there was a programme MALAYALATHILAKKAM was introduced by the government of Kerala.In our school as well the successful implementation of the programme was done during this week.The programme mainly focused on students who couldn't read and write our mothertongue properly.A group of efficient teachers in our school tried to enrich the classes by interactive classes.The selected students were given training for reading ,writing,drawing,singing malayalam rhymes etc.The duration of the class was 25 hoursand 5 hours a day.Class was arranged in the smartroom of plus two smartroom.The classes through little stories,rhymes and plays were really interesting.The little eyes were filled ecstasy.They were so happy to attend the class.The children were very comfortable with the group of their peers and loving teachers.Our kerala state is  first in the quality of mother tongue learning.But a very small percentage faced difficulty with it.The project of SSA  to irradiate the malayalam illiteracy in kerala school students is really an appreciable one. The group effort of teachers in our school and the kid gems  made the programme a great success. To a great extend they could attain  their objectives.







   
There was a hand book provided for teachers to take the classes.Videos,Pictures and all other aids were provided for the children.
          
            The discussion for the implementation of the programme VENALPACHA was going on in the school.It was a programme intended to make the school atmosphere green and to develop a positive attitude in students towards   agriculture and greenery.The books for each classes named venal Pacha was already reached the school.It may be distributed after the official inauguration.
The programme is mainly designed for making an awareness in children that the creation of a healthy new generation can be only possible through the protection of biodiversity.By constructing bio friendly garden and bio diversity registers students ,teachers and the society can hold their hands together.The slogan for the programme is "GREEN,CLEAN and HUMANE SCHOOL".Seperate books are there for 5,6and 7th class students.




Co-curricular Activities
The thiruvananthapuram district youth festival was held during this week.The  winners of subdistrict youthfestival from our school performed for various items like drama,vanchipattu,kolkali,duffmuttu etc.However the school is blessed with a group of young talents who can rise the reputation of the school

I chose M.R.M.K.M.M.H.S.S Edava for my first internship programme.I have two friends with me Saira and Seethal. Training began on 21 June.We had a little fear and anxiety before entering into the school.But all the tensions melted out when we started mingling with the Headmistress, Teachers ,other staffs and students in the school.All of them walmly welcomed us. Innovative lesson

Innovations in learning sessions are always appreciable.During this internship I wanted to take an innovative lesson.For that I selected the last two paragraphs of the lesson Juliane Koepcke's 'The jungle aircrash'. It is a story about an amazing survival of the author from an aircrash'.For making the class innovative I showed the pictures of certain celebrities who died on accidents through ICT and  linked it to the survival of the writer.After explaining the paragraphs teacher gave the meanings of boards and showed pictures related to it.Then I gave them a group activity to write slogans against accidents.I provided pluckcards to write the activity.Then another interesting session was there. I called certain students and asked them to take a lot from my hand in which safety measures to be taken in an aeroplane were written.They acted the instructions before the class and others want to tell what it was.
